Games in Movies and TV

Today, children and adults from all walks of life, spend countless hours playing adventures. Games have been documented in films since 2003 and one of the biggest changes I’ve seen so far is the way games are present in movies and television. Back in the first four years, when the home consoles and arcade games were one of their highest peaks, movies, games were often represented as a part of youth culture. Children of the Eighties enjoyed spending time in malls or fast food restaurants and was often the place of arcades.
Today, almost every single TV show and movies are a large number of products placed on the console or handheld games in them. Often, they know the game companies like Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft as well as large franchises such as Mario, World of Warcraft or Halo. It’s not so strange, because they are the major producers of game consoles at home. By far, the arcade games are the most common Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man by Midway. One thing that surprises me is the lack of massively multiplayer online movies and TV series. MMOs are huge right now and people spend millions and millions and maybe their game is the current success that prevents them from having the market on average? From what I can asses, video games at home are the most common followed by handhelds, arcade games and pinball machines.
